前段时间Jacky和我联系，处于欣喜的纠结中。他今年高中毕业，申请美国本科入学，拿到多所美国顶级名校的录取和奖学金，包括哈佛大学，耶鲁大学，普林斯顿大学，西北大学，约翰霍普金斯大学，杜克大学及全额奖学金，圣路易斯华盛顿大学及全额奖学金。
在讨论深入了解及选择入读哪所大学时，我鼓励他将探索各名校的见闻和心得记录下来，和大家分享。Jacky欣然应允。在期待了一段时间后，Jacky给了我大大的惊喜，写了洋洋洒洒几十页的经验分享文章，全面介绍了他的考试和申请过程及经验，分别与十几位哈佛大学及耶鲁大学学长的交流见闻（因为他决定在哈佛和耶鲁选一所入读），以及为什么选择哈佛放弃耶鲁的最终决定。
更令我惊喜和感动的是，Jacky愿意将他这些宝贵的经验和资料全部免费分享给大家。并且，他还愿意和我做一次公开的分享会，直接和朋友们面对面聊聊他的成长故事和申请经验。

关于个人背景与成长经历
1、请简单再介绍下你的情况，建议分为两个阶段，高中阶段（9-12年级）和中小学阶段（1-8年级），学业表现，重要的学业成就与一两个精彩的故事。
2、请做个自我总结，你是一个什么样的人？性格特点，喜好等。
3、愿意谈谈你的家庭吗？父母都是做什么工作的？他们分别对你最大的影响是什么？
4、请谈谈在你的人生经历中，对你影响最大的一两个人，他们是谁，和你什么关系，如何影响你的？借此机会，你想和他们说什么？

关于今年的美国本科申请过程与结果
1、请再介绍下你的申请基本数据，GPA，SAT或ACT成绩，AP及奖励荣誉等。
2、今年的美国本科申请情况？都拿到了哪些大学、专业的录取，分别哪些给了你奖学金以及数额多少？
3、你大概什么时候提交申请材料的？哪些ED、EA及Regular，当时这么是出于什么考虑，做这样的申请方案？
4、为了今年的本科升学，你从什么时候开始准备的？都做了哪些具体的准备工作？
关于申请材料与经验
1、你的申请文书，写作过程大概多长？愿意和我们分享其中的一些故事吗？有趣的，艰难的，重复修改的，任何你愿意提及的。
2、你提供了几份推荐信，推荐人分别是谁，和你什么关系？他们为什么愿意推荐你，你知道他们推荐信的大致内容吗？
3、你对今年的申请结果是否满意，为什么？
4、对于今年的申请结果，你觉得主要的原因有哪些？或者说，这么多顶级名校录取你，给你高额的奖学金，你觉得主要原因是什么？

Interview outline
First, please make a brief introduction of yourself and the results of this year’s application. Please specify the university and major (and the honor program) to which you have been admitted and the corresponding annual scholarship amount.
About personal background and stories
Please briefly re-introduce yourself, suggesting two stages, high school stage (grades 9-12) and primary and secondary stage (grades 1-8), academic performance, important academic achievements with one or two interesting stories.
Please make a self summary, what kind of person are you? Personalities, preferences, etc.
Would you like to talk about your family? What do your parents do for a living? What was their biggest impact on you, respectively?
Please talk about the one or two people who have influenced you the most in your life experience, who they are, what is their relationship to you and how it has influenced you? What would you like to say to them on this occasion?
About the college application process and results
Please describe your basic application data, GPA, SAT or ACT scores, AP and award honors, etc.
The results of your college application? Which universities and majors accepted you, which ones gave you scholarships and how much?
When did you submit your application materials? Which EDs, EA’s and Regions, what was your strategy for such an application package?
For this year’s college applications, when did you start preparing? What specific preparations have been made?
Information on application materials and experience
Your application paperwork, how long was the writing process roughly? Please share some of these stories. Funny, tough, repetitive modifications, anything you’d like to mention.
You provided several recommendation letters, who were the recommenders and what was the relationship with you? Why are they willing to recommend you, and do you know the highlight contents of their recommendation letters?
Are you happy with the results of this year’s application and why?
What do you think are the main reasons for the results of this year’s application? Or what do you think are the main reasons that so many top-rated colleges accept you and grant you big scholarships?
What would you like to say to students dreaming of getting admitted into Ivy league colleges?
